Initial Consultation ~ Barb offers an on-site meeting to look at the property, discuss your ideas and goals for your garden along with your budget, to be completed all at once or phased in over a period of months or years. During your consultation, Barb will walk with you around your site, identify problems and give you initial impressions about possibilities for design, along with some planting suggestions.
Site Analysis ~ You'll be asked for a copy of the site survey/plat -plan of the property (a document that shows the property lines and the location of the house within those lines). If it's not available, Barb will measure the property and locate the house within the property lines. An inventory of the existing plants and site conditions will be made and photographs will be taken for an accurate way of recording views of your yard.
Design Development ~ Based on the initial consultation Barb will come up with a conceptual drawing, to be reviewed at the next consultation. Those plans will then be modified before the final plan is drawn up. You may install the project yourself, hire your own contractor for installation or retain Green Designs to oversee the project installation.
Garden Coaching/Consultation ~ Some clients just need a little guidance to get their gardens looking better. If you like, Barb would be happy to work along with you on new plantings, transplants, pruning, good combinations for color and texture, containers, and trips to nursery or stone yard to select materials or other issues.
